Please use the link below to donate and help Andy! Andy was a healthy kid who has Autism, until last year when everything changed. He was hospitalized with COVID which the doctors believe triggered autoimmune diseases to attack his body. He has been in and out of the hospitals ever since. He was diagnosed with IgG4-related sclerosing cholangitis and SLE-Lupus. These are extremely rare and life threatening diseases especially in young people.Andy continues to get worse and is now on the UNOS list for a liver transplant. Recently he has become so jaundice he is orange. Andy is very fatigued and frightened because he is getting much worse and he needs a liver transplant as soon as possible. He is a good kid who just wants to be normal again, he misses going places and doing normal activities with people. He is currently being home schooled since he cannot risk going to the normal school and contracting an infection or illness. Andy works hard and is trying to graduate high school all while facing his medical challenges. He loves video games, Legos, and Spaghetti. Andy and his mom are still grieving the loss of their husband and step father, Rick who tragically lost his life in the line of duty just under 3 years ago. Mom is doing her best to take care of Andy and get him the care he needs which includes almost weekly 10 hour round trips to Stanford Lucile Packard Children's Hospital so that Andy can recieve the care he requires. These trips have become a huge financial burden as Annette has had to miss days even weeks of work as Andy's only care giver. Please consider donating to this amazingly resilient family so that they have one less thing to worry about and can solely focus on Andy's health care needs.
