Michael E. Johnson, BS, CCP-C, is the Vice President of Aeromedical Services for the For Paul Foundation, where he provides executive leadership in advancing critical care transport education, aeromedical advocacy, and scholarship opportunities for EMS professionals. With more than 30 years of experience in emergency medical services, Michael has dedicated his career to improving patient outcomes through clinical excellence, leadership, education, and innovation.
As Vice President, Michael leads the Foundation's aeromedical initiatives by developing strategic partnerships with air medical programs, healthcare organizations, educational institutions, and industry leaders. He is committed to expanding access to advanced critical care education, promoting professional development, and creating scholarship opportunities that help prepare the next generation of flight paramedics and critical care clinicians. His vision is to strengthen the future of aeromedical medicine through collaboration, education, and servant leadership.
In addition to his role with the Foundation, Michael serves as a Flight Paramedic with Trans Aero Medevac, providing advanced critical care during both rotary- and fixed-wing transport missions. His clinical expertise includes advanced airway management, mechanical ventilation, blood product administration, infusion therapy, trauma resuscitation, and the transport of critically ill neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients while operating under FAA and CAMTS standards.
Michael is also the founder and Lead Instructor of Medical Solutions of Florida, an EMS education and consulting organization dedicated to delivering high-quality American Heart Association (AHA) certification courses, NAEMT education, EMS continuing education, and instructor development programs. Through Medical Solutions of Florida, he has helped educate healthcare providers, first responders, businesses, and community members while promoting excellence in emergency preparedness and patient care.
A passionate educator and mentor, Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in EMS Administration and EMS Education from Columbia Southern University and completed the Critical Care Paramedic Program at the University of Florida. He is a Certified Critical Care Paramedic (CCP-C), an American Heart Association Instructor & Training Center Faculty, and a National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) Instructor & Affiliate Faculty. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to mentoring EMS professionals, advancing evidence-based practice, and fostering a culture of professionalism and lifelong learning.
Outside of his professional life, Michael is a devoted husband to Terra Kelleen ("Kellee") Johnson and a proud stepfather to their two daughters, Chloe and Terryn. His family is the foundation of his dedication to service, leadership, and compassion, providing constant inspiration for his work in emergency medical services and aeromedical education.
